Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a Head Guide for a highend luxury game lodge located in the North West Province. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned and passionate guide with a proven track record in managing guiding teams and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a Big 5 environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the guiding team to maintain high standards of guiding and guest engagement
Conduct game drives and bush walks with professionalism passion and indepth knowledge of the natural environment
Train mentor and assess guides to ensure compliance with lodge standards and FGASA requirements
Ensure the delivery of worldclass safari experiences for all guests
Manage guiding rosters equipment maintenance and vehicle checks
Ensure safety protocols are followed on all guided activities
Contribute to guest hosting and lodge activities as needed
Maintain uptodate knowledge of local flora fauna and conservation efforts
Assist in recruitment and performance reviews for the guiding team
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Head Ranger / Head Guide at a reputable game lodge
FGASA Level 2 (or higher)
Valid PDP and Driver s License
Full Trails Guide qualification preferred
Rifle competency and valid DEAT registration
Strong leadership and communication skills
Enthusiastic professional and committed to delivering a worldclass guest experience
Ability to work in a remote environment with a flexible and proactive approach
This is a livein position with a negotiable salary based on experience qualifications and current earnings.
