Job Summary
The Director Global Demand Planning & IBP is responsible for leading an effective monthly IBP process and Management Business Review to enable AGO to achieve its annual plan and strategic objectives. This role is a key advisor to the Executive Leadership Team ensuring critical decisions are brought to the appropriate IBP step while maintaining a strong and accurate 36 month demand plan with key insights into market drivers across the Global Generics business. This role also leads Global Demand Planning and the Monthly Demand Reviews and also bringing the voice of the customer to the Global Supply & Technical Operations team on a day to day basis through effective demand planning activities.
The Director Global Demand Planning & IBP will actively lead several foundational processes including but not limited to: IBP Management Business Review IBP Integrated Reconciliation IBP Demand Review Global Demand & Supply Balancing the Global Bids Process and Global Demand Consolidation. In addition this role will be responsible for leading projects to implement new or improved Demand Management processes and systems across all markets while being the champion for improving demand plan accuracy and eliminating bias from the demand plan.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate the departmental vision and objectives translating them into annual area performance goals while ensuring alignment with Apotexs strategic business objectives.
- Lead monthly IBP process for Apotex and facilitates the Management Business Review (MBR) Integrated Reconciliation (IR) as well as the Demand Review (DR). The Global Director Demand Planning & IBP will ensure that all IBP steps are meeting the overall IBP design requirements.
- Champions the IBP process as the way to improve decision making and utilization of Apotexs resources to deliver our annual and strategic commitments. Ensures that Apotexs IBP process achieves and sustains a strong level of maturity.
- Provides coaching to executive owners and process leaders to ensure plans and decisions are well developed made in a timely way at the appropriate level and clearly communicated to all cross functional stakeholders.
- Consolidates a 36month rolling Demand Plan in dollars/units which becomes the basis for latest estimates operating plans and financial projections including the annual Commercial and Operations budgets.
- Leads the global bid review and demand control processes working closely with the Global Supply 3rd Party Supply Site Supply Commercial and API teams to find solutions to Support Revenue Margin and Cashflow growth and Service performance.
- Collaborates with New Product Launch and Commercial Operations to build launch demand into the overall demand plans and ensure post launch service is maintained.
- Responsible for leading projects to implement new or improved processes and systems to improve Demand Management across all markets. Champions improving forecastaccuracy and eliminating bias from the Demand Plan. Ensures that rootcause analysis and corrective actions are developed executed and measured.
- Builds strong knowledge of all markets including Consumer Products and acts as the Voice of the Customer within Global Supply Operations
- Participate and lead performance conversations with employees including monthly one on ones to connect on performance; check in on employees progress toward achieving Objectives offer support and remove barriers; and communicate and revisit performance expectations to reinforce and encourage high performance culture and a safe working environment for all employees.
- Utilize open honest two way communication to build trustbased relationships with employees business partners and direct leader while continuously improving leadership capabilities by personally seeking feedback and development.

Job Requirements
- Education
- PostSecondary BS/BA degree in Business or a technical field.
- M.B.A. and APICS certification would be an asset
- Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Experience leading teams and influencing activities across functions without formal authority to deliver results.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing technical and nontechnical information to all organization levels.
- Strong strategy development process design and implementation skills. Proven track record designing and implementing innovative business processes that support leading practices and deliver breakthrough results.
- Strong Analytical skills required including Excel. Ideally has experience with statistical forecasting tools including SAP APO / SAP IBP.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems using personal knowledge and relevant tools and synthesis into actionable executive summaries.
- Ability to appreciate and honour differing backgrounds perspectives and experiences and to foster genuine consensus among groups from different backgrounds companies and functions.

- Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain finance or commercial operations in planning project and roles. Experience in and knowledge of the Canadian and/or US generic pharmaceutical industry preferred. Ideally have experience leading IBP or Advanced S&OP processes and Global Demand Planning processes in the Pharmaceutical industry.
