Your opportunity at a glance:

The WSLCB Finance Division is announcing an exciting opportunity for a Fiscal Analyst 2 position inOlympia WA.This position serves and complements the mission of the WSLCB by providing excellent customer service to our internal and external customers. This position complies with all laws and rules federal policies and regulations state policies and regulations governed by the Office of Financial Management (OFM) Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and WSLCB policies/procedures related to accounting. The successful candidate will have the ability to provide timely and accurate financial data ensuring efficiency and maximum benefit of state resources.

As a Fiscal Analyst 2 (FA2 in the General Accounting Unit you will perform a variety of accounts receivable duties. Your main responsibility will be to process incoming payments received through the mail complete daily deposits receive electronic funds transfers (EFTs) and record the cash receipts. The General Accounting Units responsibilities include accounts payable accounts receivable travel and asset management.

Primary Duties Include:

Qualifications


Option 1

Five 5 years of professional experience in an area related to financial fiscal accounting auditing budgeting or payroll andincluding 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in collegelevel accounting auditing or budgeting credits ora commitment toattain the required credit hours in 18 months.


Option 2

An associates degree in a financialrelated field or business administration which includes 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting auditing or budgeting ora commitment toattain the required credit hours in 18 monthsandthree 3 year of professional experience in an area related to financial fiscal accounting auditing budgeting or payroll.


Option 3

A bachelors degree or above in a financialrelated field or business administration which includes 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting auditing or budgeting ora commitment toattain the required credit hours in 18 monthsandone 1 year of professional experience in an area related to financial fiscal accounting auditing budgeting or payroll.

The following certifications or degree may substitute for one year of experience:
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Certified Internal Auditor
  • Certified Government Financial Manager
  • Certified Management Accountant

Our ideal candidate will also have the following desired qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) government accounting and internal control processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Word Excel Outlook Power Point.
  • General ledger accounts reconciliation experience.
  • Experience with tax systems or efiling systems.
  • Familiar with:
    • Washington State Administrative and Accounting Manual (SAAM).
    • Revised Code of Washington (RCW).
    • Washington Administrative Codes (WAC).
    • Agency Financial Reporting System (AFRS).
    • Capital Asset Management System (CAMS).

RCW 69.50.351 no member of the state liquor and cannabis board and no employee of the state liquor and cannabis board shall have any interest directly or indirectly in the producing processing or sale of cannabis useable cannabis or cannabisinfused products or derive any profit or remuneration from the sale of cannabis useable cannabis or cannabisinfused products other than the salary or wages payable to him or her in respect of his or her office or position and shall receive no gratuity from any person in connection with the business.
