Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industryleading optical solutions across the broader communications segment is classified into two main product groupings carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for opticalbased communications infrastructure for services such as video data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of opticalbased communication networks sold to businesses governments and individuals for their own use.

Position:Applications Engineer Data Center Solutions EMEA (m/f/d)
Location:Berlin Germany
Language Requirement:Fluent in French and English
About the Role:
As an Applications Engineer at Corning you will be the cornerstone of our Data Center solutions across the EMEA region. You will represent Corning as a product and solution expert working closely with both internal and external customers. This role is a blend of technical expertise and customer interaction requiring a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills and a robust background in network architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate/ Travailler en quipe:Work with sales teams external partners and customers to gather requirements and propose tailored solutions.
- Document/Rdiger des documents techniques:Prepare comprehensive solution documentation for ICT systems including Network Design Architecture Bills of Materials (BOMs) and rack elevation schematics.
- Advise/ Conseiller les clients:Respond to RFP/RFQ and provide expert advice on product applications.
- Support:Deliver technical support and training sessions directly to end customers installers and distribution partners.
- Innovate/Innover:Contribute to the development and implementation of new IT tools aimed at automating work processes and enhancing team efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education:University Engineering Degree.
- Experience:25 years in Telecom Data Center or ICT (Information & Communications Technology) design and engineering.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in designing ICT network solutions.
- Generating technical documentation and providing technical support.
- Strong computer skills and fluency in French and English are essential. Additional languages such as Arabic or German are a plus.
- Travel Requirements:Up to 25 of the working time primarily within Europe but also potentially to the US or Asia.
