Duties and Responsibility

• Disassemble install inspect maintain and repair all or part of the mechanical equipment and accessories in the plant;
• Perform preventive maintenance interventions;
• Diagnose mechanical hydraulic pneumatic and lubrication issues on all types of equipment in the plant (troubleshooting);
• Determine corrective actions to be taken during unplanned shutdowns;
• Perform required tests before restarting equipment for production;
• Collaborate on engineering projects and any other tasks related to continuous improvement and the smooth operation of the plant.

Education experience and competencies

• High school diploma (DES) or equivalent and a DEP or DEC in maintenance mechanics industrial mechanics or mechanical engineering;
• Minimum of 4 years of experience (in heavy or chemical industry an asset);
• Experience with handling hazardous equipment (an asset);
• Analytical mindset and excellent planning and organizational skills;
• Autonomous;
• Dynamic with a good team spirit;
• Versatile.
