Job Description

Specialist Drafting & Project Coordination
Location: Kansas City MO
Organization: The NelsonAtkins Museum of Art
Pay Range: $25.85$30.00 per hour

What Youll Do
As the Specialist Drafting & Project Coordination youll bring complex building systems and projects to life through precise digital drawings and documentation. This role is essential to facilities planning and construction efforts and ensures the smooth operation of our maintenance management system. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing technical drawings and documents for renovation and capital projects

  • Translating complex system information into clear visual formats

  • Managing data and workflows in the museums CMMS platform

  • Supporting safety and maintenance standards throughout museum spaces

  • Collaborating across departments to promote consistent project coordination

What Youll Need

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Design & Drafting Engineering Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with facilities or construction project coordination

  • Proficiency in CAD software (Vectorworks AutoCAD Revit or Rhino preferred)

  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance systems (CMMS)

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work at heights (up to 40 ft via lift) and lift/move up to 100 lbs
