What Youll Do

  • The Craft Supervisor oversees the daily work performed in the Maintenance Shop. The Craft Supervisor is responsible for assigning and monitoring the completion of work as well as providing technical assistance and generally managing the workforce within the Shop. The Craft Supervisor is expected to identify and ensure that appropriate actions are taken to support the timely and eective completion of assigned tasks. This includes ensuring that company policies and practices are followed in all phases of maintenance performance and personnelrelated functions including but not limited to the hiring and supervision of bargaining employees.
  • The Craft Supervisor also is responsible for ensuring that employees comply with Company policies and procedures and the requirements of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Directly supervise and coordinate activities of bargaining crafts in the electrical shop
  • Must complete PreJob Briengs for all selfperformed work
  • Manage personnel and equipment resources for work
  • Review and approve time records for direct reports
  • Required to provide management and oversight of maintenance activities for the organization
  • Must be able to eectively and eciently communicate verbally and in written form
  • Specic tasks include management and oversight of:
    • Union craft pool
    • Schedule and assign jobs working with planning and scheduling departments
    • Ensure the safe of work in the crafts group while meeting work schedules quality standards and adherence to department budget
    • Extensive knowledge of fall protection and general PPE equipment
    • Waste removal and tracking
    • Provide technical guidance to the site and resolve critical site issues
    • Knowledge of hazards associated with electrical work
    • Familiar with hoisting and rigging equipment
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree with a minimum of ve years of relevant experience.
  • Applicants with a high school diploma or equivalent may be considered on an exceptional basis with 13or more years of relevant experience. Typically each year of college education is equal to two years of experience.
  • In addition the applicant must meet the requirements of DOE Order 426.2 (i.e. High School diploma and 3 years nuclear experience or a DOE O 426.2 alternative). DOE 426.2 experience requirements can be satisfied following employment. In the interim newly hired personnel will not be assigned duties that could impact the safety basis of nuclear facilities. (Ref. DOE O 426.2

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of the following:
    • Executing corrective predictive and preventive maintenance associated with Production Facilities
  • Experience with plumbing and pipe fitting

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.


Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program(HRP). If HRP is required candidate must complete a counterintelligencescope polygraph pursuant to 10CFR709. Medical requirements may apply.
