About the job

As an integral member of our team you will play a pivotal role in supporting and handling logistic activities and coordinating with external parties sites and freight forwarders. You will have the opportunity to arrange shipments from sites to customers create all necessary shipping documents for orders work in the Transportation Management System (TMS) support sites with transport solutions based on customer needs and follow up to ensure shipments are delivered to customers as expected. Your contributions will be vital to the overall success and growth of our organization. Currently this is a hybrid opportunity in Greenwood IN.

As a part of the team you will:

  • Perform all functions necessary for proper processing of customer orders and quotes through the use of TMS and other systems.

  • Ensure the correctness of documents issued by LCT and freight forwarders.

  • Initiate manage and support problemsolving and improvement activities.

  • Maintain uptodate statuses of shipments and documents in TMS.

  • Act as the main point of contact for internal customers freight forwarders and other stakeholders.

  • Ensure ALPS Supply Chain processes within the unit are followed and maintained at the required KPI level.

  • Analyze create and maintain process documents.

  • Participate in ALPS Lean Six Sigma 5S and other Operations initiatives.

  • Conduct other tasks and instructions related to the ALPS Supply Chain as assigned by the manager.

  • Ability to work in the office 3/5 days a week.

What you know:

You are currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration International Business Data Analytics Supply Chain or a related field and:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).

  • Basic understanding of improvement tools such as 5S Six Sigma and Kaizen.

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Detailoriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Strong desire to learn and continuously improve.
