The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced operations oriented developer or architect to strengthen our resilience and continuity efforts. The role would work cross departments and organizations collaborating with developers architects platform owners and operations teams to analyze platforms from a resilience and continuity aspect formulate objectives and lead projects to improve the platform resilience and continuity.

DaytoDay Responsibilities

• Formulating extending and enhancing nonfunctional requirements contributing to platform resilience and continuity
• Create and refine architectural guidelines and patterns for resilience and continuity
• Reviewing and analysing existing platforms and devise recommendations for platform changes to increase resilience and continuity aspects driven by nonfunctional requirements and resilience/continuity patterns
• Contributing to system architecture at design phase
• Evangelizing the resilience and continuity aspect in decision making and informational settings such as steering committees townhalls and special interest forums
• Leading improvement and implementation initiatives including time planning budgeting and communications/governance
• Work closely with architects competence centers and other relevant cross functional teams from a resilience and continuity aspect

Who Are We Looking For

We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change step up and show whats next people with passion cando attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:

• Bachelor/Master in Data Science/Informatics or other for Software development relevant field
• Minimum 5 years experience as a software developer and/or architect
• Backend Development in Java/.NET
• Experiences from databases such as Postgres and Oracle
• Experiences from using Linux as a development and deployment platform
• Practices from modern software craftmanship
• Experiences from Agile processes and practices
• Knowledge about legacy and cloudbased systems deployment models
• Knowledge of networking load balancing and failover concepts
• Familiar with capacity management and capacity related concepts such as throttling caching queueing etc.
• Background in operations of mission critical systems
• Familiar with resilience and continuity related regulations and guidelines such as DORA and EBA
• Project and program management experience
• Good communication skills written and oral. Comfortable in the English language additional languages (French primarily) is a bonus
• Familiarity with payment card transaction processing is an advantage
