The Opportunity
This is a key position supporting the Finance Business Operation team. The Intermediation Accounting Specialist will be responsible for performing Clearing & Settlement activities for multiple Worldline locations following Standard Accounting Policies and Procedures. As an Intermediation Accounting Specialist you will be solving real business problems. You will use your accounting education and reconciliations experience to provide accurate data for your company data that will be used in decisionmaking.
DaytoDay Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with the team from the allocated country (both from Romania and locally)
- You perform daily reconciliation and clearing of allocated intermediation GL accounts
- Depending on the allocated country you perform daily scheme reconciliations in excel/TLM reconciliation tool
- You clarify and track unexplained general ledger entries made by third party processors various departments branches or staff
- You are responsible for reconciling all summary sheets/general ledgers impacted by the various transactional entries coming from the Acquiring/ Issuing activities
- You maintain and enhance VBA based Excel files to facilitate reconciliation activities
- You perform month/quarterly/annual closure activities in accordance with agreed group/local timelines
- You are responsible for maintaining and updating written documentations and reporting checks files and performing continuous improvement
- You collaborate with other departments as required
- You provide support in onboarding and training of new joiners and junior team members
- You use your experience and background to come up with optimization ideas for further enhancing our processes
Who Are We Looking For
- Educational background in Economics Accounting or Finance
- 5 year of professional experience in Finance (General Ledger Investment funds or Banking)
- Relevant experience in a competence center environment would be a plus
- Knowledge of working in SAP and MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint etc. any other system is a plus
- Advance level of English additional language would be a plus
- Knowledge of VBA/Excel Macro would be a plus
