What Youll Do:
As aShipping & Receiving Supervisor youllbe responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shipping and receiving department ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor will have a strong background in logistics exceptional organizational skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team. This opportunity will define and implement procedures within the department area of responsibility to ensure alignment with other departments/teams. The Shipping & Receiving Supervisorwill also represent the department during customer meetings and audits and/or regulatory inspections.
What Were Looking For:
- Accountable for department specific metrics and driving continuous improvement of results.
- Effectively supervise department to ensure all customer shipping requirements are met and performed safely.
- Develop update and conduct training on procedures and work instructions in compliance with policies and regulations.
- Review daily workload to ensure adequate availability of resources.
- Communicate and collaborate delays issues and changes with relevant departments and stakeholders.
- Ensure that material returns are processed in a timely manner.
- Provide mentorship to department employees with a focus on growth and development.
- Coordinate the completion of quality records for changes to shipping processes from validations and customer requests.
- Review SAP transactions to ensure clear segregation of responsibilities.
- Review transactions (i.e. Cycle Counts inventory investigations) and provide direction on contributing causes and corrective actions.
- Maintain audit readiness in all relevant areas (Receiving Shipping Warehouse).
- Maintain and implement 5S standards within the department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills Qualifications Experience Physical Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 5 years of shipping receiving or logistics experience.
- 3years of supervising experience.
- Must be proficient in Office applications.
- SAP logistics and warehouse experience required.
- Forklift experience required.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Must have strong work ethic professional attitude and be detailed oriented as well as reliable.
- Ability to multitask.
- Must have excellent work habits including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done.
- Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.
