What youll do
SAP recently decided to combine and harmonize all SAP Sovereign Cloud offerings establishing an endtoend process for the Public Sector and regulated industries. The newly created Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit is part of SAP Product Engineering with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized scalable and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.
In this role you will join the SAP Sovereign Cloud Automation & Tooling team and contribute to the Quality Engineering efforts for the Operations Control Plane (OCP)a foundational capability responsible for observability compliance and policy enforcement in SAPs regulated cloud environments. You will support the test automation strategy for a WebApp architecture powered by and React working closely with engineers architects and DevOps experts.
As a Senior Quality Specialist you will help drive high test coverage maintain automation frameworks and ensure the quality and compliance of deliverables that meet the unique requirements of Sovereign Cloud.
In the role of Senior Quality Specialist you will:
- Design implement and maintain test automation for WebApp components developed with (backend) and React (frontend).
- Contribute to UI API and integration testing using tools such as Playwright Cypress or Jest.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions Jenkins).
- Analyze test results identify defects and assist in root cause analysis.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage for functional nonfunctional and compliancerelated scenarios.
- Participate in code and test reviews QA discussions and backlog grooming activities.
- Document test strategies test cases and quality dashboards.
- Support the implementation of quality gates and early defect detection practices.
What you bring
- Degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 68 years of handson experience in automated testing of fullstack WebApps preferably in enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScriptbased testing frameworks for UI and backend automation.
- Experience with Cypress Playwright Jest Mocha or Supertest.
- Familiarity with RESTful API testing and frontend component testing.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines test integration and version control (GitHub).
- Strong problemsolving skills attention to detail and a qualityfirst mindset.
- Willingness to work in agile distributed teams with a collaborative attitude.
Nice to have
- Exposure to regulated cloud environments or Sovereign Cloud principles.
- Experience with Kubernetes Helm or containerized application testing.
- Knowledge of performance testing contract testing or security test tools.
- Familiarity with SAP products BTP or compliance processes.
