Who are we looking for
In response to steady growth within our Water/Wastewater business our team in Atlanta GA is looking to bring onboard a motivated Senior Project Manager to help with the continued development and growth of GHDs Water Business in the MetroAtlanta area. In this role you will also provide technical leadership and delivery of major water/wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects for our clients throughout the southeast region.

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Performing business development sales and marketing with a specific focus on large clients in MetroAtlanta (with focus on DeKalb Fulton Cobb Gwinnett and Clayton Counties including applicable municipalities) and surrounding areas
- Providing leadership on projects relating to water and wastewater including but not limited to treatment plants pump stations water transmission mains sewer collection systems and stormwater
- Performing and lead the technical and production work of the team administering contractual aspects of the project and acting as primary contact for client
- Establishing project delivery strategy and develop job management plan QA plan securing resources establishing work briefs and budgets
- Preparing and monitor project budgets and schedules for existing projects
- Participate in recruiting new staff
- Participate in business development and marketing strategies specific throughout the Southeast Region
- Develop pricing scoping and win strategies for new work
- Mentor team members and assess work assignments provide direction and training as needed to team members
- Managing all communication pertaining to technical and contract project issues for client meetings
- Conduct work to appropriate professional standards and to the firms QA/QC requirements; participate in QA/QC programs for other projects as requested by managers
- Prepare design computations and opinions of probable construction cost
- Preparation of reports specifications drawings construction schedules and permits for water/wastewater design projects
- Direct team of subject area leads for the development of design and construction documents
- Collaborate with Service Line Leaders and Project Managers within and outside the Region on work sharing and business development
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia
- Minimum 15 years of experience in planning design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure including but not limited to treatment plants pump stations water transmission mains sewer collection systems and stormwater
- At least 5 years serving municipal clients in MetroAtlanta preferred (i.e. Dekalb Fulton Gwinnett Clayton and City of Atlanta)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to develop mentor and lead professional technical staff
- Strong business development proposal preparation and marketing skills. Flexible and able to meet challenging deadlines
