Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking an experienced and innovative Mission System Architect (MSA) to join our advanced technology team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in designing developing and integrating a complex Air Traffic Management (ATM) communication network with a strong focus on SDWAN architecture and requirements. This role requires a strategic thinker who can implement a complete architecture design and follow the technical direction to create this missioncritical system ensuring that it meets rigorous performance reliability and security standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and integrate complex ATM communication networks with a focus on SDWAN architecture and requirements
- Create and present key systems engineering artifacts and program gate reviews (TBR PCR PDR CDR TRR ORR)
- Implement a comprehensive architecture design
- Follow and establish technical direction for the missioncritical system
- Ensure the system meets high standards of performance reliability and security
- Ability to create and execute automated scripts for the purpose of network configuration automation
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- 5 years of experience in system engineering and system architecture design
- 5 years of experience with legacy Telecom technology (e.g. Frame Relay TDM)
- 3 years working experience with SDWAN technologies
- 3 years of experience with emerging Telecom technology (e.g. SDWAN OTN 5G LTE)
- Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust clearance upon hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Air Traffic Management systems Air Navigation protocols and terminologies
- Relevant certifications in network architecture security (e.g. CCNP CISSP) and in SDWAN and network architecture
- International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) certification (ASEP CSEP or ESEP)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols architectures and technologies
- Proficiency in network design tools and simulation software
- Familiarity with security protocols and best practices in network security
- Scripting background in PYTHON or any other scripting language
