Department Summary

The University of Oregon Intercollegiate Athletic Departments primary purpose is to provide a unique opportunity for studentathletes to be developed tested and encouraged to reach their maximum potential in every aspect of their lives. It is the steadfast goal of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics to provide the most outstanding studentathlete experience by helping them to achieve excellence both in the classroom and in their chosen sport. The department has approximately 280 administrative & classified employees hosts over 600000 spectators annually and represents the University of Oregon in athletic competition with other universities & colleges.

Position Summary

The Head Coach is responsible for the management and administration of all phases of the Womens Beach Volleyball program. This position is also responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program including adherence to all department policies and procedures as well as the rules and regulations of the university Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) and the NCAA.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree from accredited university.
Five years successful collegiate/professional volleyball playing and/or volleyball coaching experience.

Professional Competencies

Excellent written interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with faculty staff and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated dedication to the full academic and social development of studentathletes.

Preferred Qualifications

Affiliation with highly successful elite program(s).
Experience with beach volleyball.
Experience managing a competitive volleyball or beach volleyball program.
Proven successful implementation of offensive and/or defensive strategies.
Proven significant skill development of studentathletes both individually and collectively.
