About the opportunity
At Mercy Health each moment no matter how small truly matters and as a Food Service Assistant youll create cherished moments each day.
Prepare plate and serve meals in accordance with dietary requirements and resident care plans
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen and dining areas following food safety standards
Assist with dishwashing sanitizing utensils and general kitchen duties
Ensure meals are served on time and at appropriate temperatures
Communicate with kitchen and care staff to meet residents nutritional needs
Handle and store food safely following HACCP and infection control procedures
Support residents with meal choices providing a friendly and respectful service
Follow aged care standards including dignity independence and personcentred care

To thrive in this role you will have:
Experience working in aged care setting desirable
Be customer focused
You will also be required to provide evidence of or in the process of obtaining:
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Clearance.
Appropriate Food safe certification
