About the role:
This position will be based at Gurugram. This position will act as a key liaison between the finance and supply chain teams. This role is responsible for driving financial performance providing analytical insights and ensuring that supply chain decisions are financially sound and aligned with organizational goals. Occupant will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to optimize costs improve processes and deliver value to the business.
Roles and Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze supply chain data including inventory procurement transportation and warehousing costs.
- Monitor and track key supply chain financial metrics such as working capital cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory turnover.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to supply chain leaders and senior management to improve operational performance.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in the development and management of the supply chain budget forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Work closely with supply chain teams to project future costs and savings opportunities.
- Ensure budget alignment with overall company objectives and track performance against budget.
Freight and Storage Cost Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for cost savings across the supply chain including logistics procurement and inventory management.
- Support negotiations with suppliers and vendors to achieve better financial terms.
- Analyze the impact of supply chain decisions on overall profitability and propose actions for improvement.
Crossfunctional Collaboration:
- Partner with procurement logistics operations and IT teams to ensure alignment between supply chain and financial goals.
- Provide financial guidance on supply chain strategy process improvements and system changes.
- Facilitate discussions on financial performance and actionable insights for improvement.
Risk Management:
- Assess and monitor financial risks related to supply chain operations including supplier disruptions pricing fluctuations and geopolitical factors.
- Support the identification of risk mitigation strategies within the supply chain.
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain by identifying areas where financial processes systems or controls can be enhanced.
- Foster a culture of financial awareness within supply chain teams.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on supply chain financial performance.
- Communicate complex financial data in a clear and actionable manner to nonfinancial stakeholders.
About You:
- CA/ MBA with > 45 years of experience in finance with at least 23 years in supply chain finance or a related field.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP Oracle etc. and financial planning tools.
- Knowledge of supply chain management processes and best practices.
