Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced strategic and detail-oriented Finance & Operations Accounting Manager to lead our finance and accounting this role you will oversee a small accounting team manage day-to-day accounting functions and lead financial planning and analysis. Reporting directly to the President you will work cross-functionally with leadership to ensure accurate financial records support data-driven decision-making and streamline business processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable payroll general ledger and month-end close processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements budgets forecasts and variance reports to provide insights for management.
- Lead budgeting forecasting and financial analysis efforts to support business performance and growth initiatives.
- Partner with operations sales and production teams to drive cost efficiency pricing strategy and resource planning.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) financial metrics and operational trends to guide strategic decision-making.
- Analyze financial variances identify drivers and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability.
- Oversee cash flow management inventory accounting (specific to our custom products) and cost analysis to support operational efficiency.
- Ensure financial compliance with GAAP tax regulations franchise reporting and internal controls; coordinate with external tax advisors as needed.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accounting staff fostering professional development and ensuring high performance.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial systems processes and tools (e.g. QuickBooks ERP software) to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Contribute to financial planning for new business initiatives capital investments and franchise-specific expansion opportunities.
- Support risk management efforts and help identify opportunities for cost reduction and process efficiencies.

Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or Business; Masters degree or CPA certification preferred.
- 57 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial operations with at least 23 years in a managerial role or supervisory role.
- Strong background in financial analysis cost accounting forecasting and budgeting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP financial reporting and compliance; experience in construction-related industries is a plus.
- Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems (e.g. QuickBooks Sage or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities; strong business acumen and attention to detail.
- Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills with experience managing teams and driving financial and process improvements.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; this position is based in our Poway office.
