Assembly Elkhart IN
All Shifts 1st 2nd 3rd up to $18/hr.
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Assembler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling parts or products according to work instructions blueprints or engineering drawings. The Assembler will use hand tools power tools and machinery to complete assembly tasks efficiently and accurately. This role requires a keen eye for detail manual dexterity and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret work instructions blueprints or engineering drawings to assemble parts or products.
- Align and fit parts according to specifications using hand tools power tools and machinery.
- Perform quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet standards and specifications.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise during the assembly process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds throughout the entire shift.
- Use of measuring tools such as tape measure calipers paint mil. checker micrometers etc.
- Able to read understand and follow work instructions.
- Able to read and understand blueprints.
- Able to work using small hand tools (employee owned) at a good speed.
- Able to be flexible and move from job to job as priorities change.
- Must be able to operate forklifts scissor lifts and bucket lifts as needed.
- Ability to stand walk bend and stoop.
- Ability to use hands to finger handle and feel.
- Specific vision abilitiesfor various jobs include close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
- Ability to understand and communicate (talkreadhear) work instructions.
