Finance Installments Controller

Role Description

Join our dynamic and detail orientated Instalment team in Bristol as a Finance Instalments Controller. We are seeking a Instalments Controller with regulatory experience and reporting skills eager to take the next step in their career. As a Finance Installments Controller you will contribute to the delivery of Instalment Credit Managements objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through the timely and effective performance of duties maintaining standards building effective relationships.

Salary Information

Pay is based on relevant experience skills for the role and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

Location: Bristol

About You

  • Undertakes instalment control activities in accordance with the defined processes to ensure prompt premium payment and to achieve agreed KPIs.
  • Ensure instalment process and operational activities are adhered to within regulatory requirements.
  • Handle internal and external customer queries in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Builds effective relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Support effective and efficient collaboration between offshore and onshore teams.
  • Ensure policy and procedures workflow for assigned areas of responsibility as well as archived records to satisfy audit and statutory requirements are maintained.
  • Accurately complete and maintain manual reports using Excel.
  • Provide Adhoc information that is required by the business in an ever changing environment
  • Communicate effectively and promptly with Team & Team Leader to raise issues/concerns promptly with systems or processes and provide creative solutions to overcome challenges and minimize downtime.

Essential Skills

  • Experience of working in a customer facing credit management instalments or any regulated finance role.
  • A detailed understanding of business and instalment processes and systems.
  • Good knowledge of credit management best practice and the ability to apply this in the role.
  • Uptodate knowledge and understanding of all relevant Compliance and Regulatory rules and procedures FCA and banking rules and regulations.
  • Working knowledge or good understanding of the BACS system rules and regulations.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • Able to manage workload and priorities adapting to changing needs and priorities.
  • Strong negotiation skills and communication skills.
  • Resultsorientated data driven and innovationminded able to adapt quickly to changing needs and priorities.

Desirable Skills

  • GCSE or equivalent (including Maths and English at grade C or above).
  • CICM qualification to certificate level preferred or a desire to study towards this qualification would be advantageous.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting desirable.
