EY Parthenon Strategy and Value Creation Senior Director

The opportunity

EY Parthenon Value Creation helps PE firms their portfolio companies and corporate companies realize better returns by unlocking value and accelerating time to money through targeted operational improvements. We rapidly define quantify and help realize significant incremental and sustainable value through revenue enhancement cost and margin improvement and working capital reduction.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Director in Value Creation you will be a vital member of the team leading and executing operational focused projects. You will lead projects that span the entire lifecycle of a transaction including operational due diligence where we focus on EBITDA upside and operational risk; buy side carve out and integration planning to ensure a newly spun out business can operate by itself and potentially merge to quickly realize anticipated synergies; postacquisition 100 day and value creation planning; ongoing performance improvement; and exit readiness planning to inform an optimal strategy for maximizing returns and ensuring the buyer is well positioned to continue to enhance value.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Project Management lead and manage project teams comprising of colleagues from across the Strategy and Transactions sub service lines.
  • Business and Commercially Driven work in a fastpaced exciting environment withstrong business acumen to drive value to our clients.
  • Business Development drive pursuits including presentations and client meetings. Contribute to our practice development initiatives supporting the continued focus of our team as a great place to work.
  • People development coach train and mentor junior team members to support achievement of their career goals.
  • Building Relationships strong trusted advisor relationships with senior clients including influence advice and support to key decision makers.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelors degree in Business Accounting Finance Engineering or related field and 8 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience.
  • Strategy and operations management consulting experience.
  • Excellent analytical problem solving/modeling skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Experience in operational due diligence operational transformation and performance improvement.
  • Experience in business integrations divestitures and/or carveouts with a demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Deep understanding of financial statements and operational performance metrics.
  • Experience leading and managing crossfunctional teams in complex business environments.
  • The ability to prioritize effectively on projects and the skills to adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to develop longlasting relationships both internally and externally.
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.

Ideally youll also have

  • A proven record of excellence in M&A transactions.
  • Experience in driving operational improvement programs in a corporate setting.
  • Experience gained within another large professional services organization.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • Dynamic individuals who thrive in ambiguous situations to help clients solve their most critical strategic business and economic challenges.

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where youll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $250000 to $290000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge skills and geography. In addition our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage pension and 401(k) plans and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our teamled and leaderenabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external client serving roles to work together in person 4060 of the time over the course of an engagement project or year.
