Job Description

Introduction

A reputable client in actuarial consulting is a fulltime hybrid role for a Damages Actuarial Associate with extensive remote work flexibility. The Actuarial Associate will be responsible for compiling Actuarial Damages reports. This role is intended to fasttrack the Associate into the role of Actuarial Manager to assist in overseeing all Damages work.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science
  • Experience in Damages (Nonnegotiable)
  • Actuarial software or programming (R Python VBA etc)
  • Strong actuarial knowledge of life contingencies discounting present value calculations
  • Understanding of South African legal frameworks (e.g. Road Accident Fund loss of support/income)
  • High Intelligence Ambition and Ethics
  • Strong Communication skills
