Job Description

Producing some of Australias favourite beverages Tooheys is a New South Wales institution. We are looking for 2 xMechanicalArea Specialists to join our Brewing engineering team at Tooheys.

Working with an iconic brand this role will support the delivery of production rates through minimising waste events related to machine efficiency on site. Reporting to the Brewing Engineer the mechanical area specialist is responsible for ensuring the ongoing reliability of our assets in the brewing department area at Tooheys. This is a day shiftbased role 6am 2pm) Tuesday to Saturday with additional paid overtime.This is apermanent fulltime roleand will be based at Tooheys Brewery in Lidcombe NSW.

Some of the skills you will bring to the role:

  • A mechanical trade qualification or equivalent
  • Strong handson experience in mechanical maintenance in manufacturing or FMCG
  • Experience in brewing and liquid processing equipment such as valves pumps and centrifuges will be highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles maintenance practices problem solving and failure analysis techniques.
  • Experience using a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) such as SAP EAM
  • Decision making in ambiguous situations
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong motivation to succeed and deliver quality results

Some of the things youll be doing in the role:

  • Scheduled preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Reliability projects and problem solving to optimise production and minimise downtime
  • Develop specialist technical skills in equipment and use those for troubleshooting and improvements with the production team
  • Providing mechanical technical guidance to shift trades and production teams.
  • Assist and supervise contractors attending the site for equipment maintenance
  • Champion a safetyfirst culture across the Brewery
