TDS Funding Platform & Innovation Senior Solution IT Specialist
The TDS Funding Platform is the money market trade management platform for TD Securities. TDS Funding is also the strategic storage and compute infrastructure for numerous businessaligned products used by front office users.
As a Senior Solutions IT Specialist for the TDS Funding Platform you are expected to build and evolve a variety of custom software and hardware solutions that enable these products and ensure their future growth and viability from an architectural and technical perspective. These components will inturn have a direct and tangible impact on the bottom line of all products and business areas that depend on them.
Technology
As a Senior Solutions IT Specialist responsibility will be to lead and collaborate with the team to architect design and implement solutions to help solve complex problems.
The technology stack that is in place today utilizes the likes of:
Java JavaScript & Typescript for general purpose programming
Spring Boot for microservicebased Java web framework
React for UI development
Reactive programming
Functional programming
REST API for integration
Azure Cloud development
SQL for database management
Event sourcing optional nice to have
Liquibase/Flyway optional nice to have
Axon IQ Framework optional nice to have
Roadmap & Responsibilities
A Senior Solutions IT Specialist will contribute to the design and development of a variety of tools and technologies that are part of our funding infrastructure. These are components where performance and scalability really count and they are heavily relied on by some of the most utilized products on the TDS Veritas Platform namely Trade Service and Trade Controller.
Senior Solutions IT Specialist take part in the development and design of new features and components as we continue to broaden the scope of the platform to other product areas and will ensure that the technical infrastructure continues to scale with the everincreasing demands of the business for years to come.
Qualifications & Skills
Desired Qualifications
Extensive experience implementing front to back implementations of highly concurrent trading applications Java
Significant experience implementing Agile practices e.g. automated testing continuous integration project rooms pair programming etc.
Wideranging experience with Relational and NoSQL databases SQL queries and objectrelational mapping tools
A good understanding of Fixed income products and front office trading is desirable
Working knowledge of Azure Cloud & DevOps practices
Demonstrated professional experience with modern JavaScript frameworks
UNIX Linux and W3C technologies including HTTP and XML
Experience working with crossfunctional and crossoffice teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Automated build test and deployment tools
A pragmatic approach to software development and delivery

Takes great personal pride in building robust software
Strong sense of ownership
