Job Description

Senior Environmental Health & Safety Security Manager (Glanbia Nutritionals Services LLC Aurora IL)

Manage team of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) professionals to ensure all manufacturing sites are compliant are hitting EHS targets aligned centrally. Serve as subject matter expert regarding the interpretation of federal state and local EHS regulations. Aligns corporate and local EHS goals and strategies. Lead develop and manage EHS staff members at manufacturing locations. Lead the Life Safety program and practices. Ensure compliance for federal and state regulations regarding transportation DOT compliance Crash Management processes including reporting investigation and documentation. Manage compliance with all environmental laws standards and regulations including existing and pending site permits (CAA NPDES Local Ordinances etc. by working with facilities and Department of Environment Health and Safety. Review and implement compliance practices for new and upcoming regulations for applicability and effect on the facility. Manage Federal State and Local agency inspections. Prepare and submit permit modifications as needed. Direct and assign compliance projects as needed. Develop all reports required by permits including SARA 312 SARA 313 CAA CWA RCRA and Local Ordinances. Develop routine and nonroutine correspondence to Federal State and Local Environmental Agencies. Ensure all waste generated from the facility is packaged handled transported disposed of and tracked in a manner that meets and/or exceeds Federal State and Local regulations. Manage security program including monitoring and delegating assignments as appropriate. Develop and manage security throughout the facilities. Oversee employeetraining programs regarding EHSapproved behaviors and general compliance. Ensure the Employee Return to Work Program is in adherence to policy and has proper documentation. Direct preparation for Annual GRMS Audit assigning responsibilities as needed. Participate in the setting of clear expectations and direction for the EHS Department specifically in terms of industrial hygiene and security initiatives and goals. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to correspond and work with local state and federal agencies as well as applicable community groups to develop positive relationships. Comply with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods Food and Drug Admin). Up to 10 domestic and international travel required. Telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting must report to 948 Meridian Lake Dr Aurora Illinois 60504. Salary: $119000 to $140000 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree or U.S. equivalent in Construction Management Construction Engineering or related field plus 5 years of professional experience Engineering Manager Safety Manager or any occupation/position/job title involving Environmental safety sustainability or security regulatory.

Must also have experience in the following: 5 years of professional experience reading analyzing and interpreting Federal state and local regulations standards and legal interpretations; 5 years of professional experience presenting business topics to top management; 5 years of professional experience utilizing lean manufacture problem solving skills and corrective action closure to reduce risks; 5 years of professional experience prioritizing tasks handling multiple projects simultaneously and delegating assignments to others; 5 years of professional experience applying advanced mathematical concepts including exponents logarithms quadratic equations and permutations; 5 years of professional experience complying with EHS safety policies practices and procedures; 4 years of professional experience interpreting industrial hygiene testing in a plant environment; and 4 years of professional experience communicating complex testing procedures to employees and outside entities.
