In this position you will prepare and maintain both physical and electronic medical records of inmates. By creating and filing medical reports you will ensure that all information is uptodate and accurate. You will also compile all inmate medical records for transfer and assist the medical department with data entry. In addition you will ensure that medical reports and documented entries follow documentation practices DOC policies and federal state or accreditation standards applicable to health care. You will refer noncompliant insufficient or incomplete records to health care staff for necessary revisions. Other duties will include delivering and retrieving records as well as composing and typing requests for medical information from other facilities hospitals or agencies.
