Description

Resident Services IT (RSIT)is seekingan IT Technical Analyst III to join a team that delivers technical support to business partners and employees in the Resident Services line of business. This position will create and support Resident Services infrastructure hardware technical equipment systems and applications/solutions.

Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed both onsite at the Hennepin County Government Center 300 South 6th St Minneapolis MN 55487 at other Hennepin County buildings and remote as job duties require.Work hours are typically Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with some flexibility.While this position is designated as hybrid based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.New Employee Orientation (NEO) for all new benefitearning employees is inperson in downtown Minneapolis. Details about NEO will be provided upon hire.

At this time employees may be eligible to receive an additional cash merit of up to $2336.87 that can be earned annually based on performance.


In this position you will:


Need to have:
  • One of the following:
    • Eight years or more of IT experience.
    • Associates/vocational/technical degree in computer science management information systems (MIS) information technology or an approved information technology field related to the position andsix years or more of IT experience.
    • Completion of five college/vocational/technical technology courses and six years or more of IT experience.
    • Completion of an approved IT Hennepin County internship and six years or more of IT experience.
    • Bachelors degree or higher in computer science management information systems (MIS) information technology or an approved information technology field related to the position and four years or more of IT experience.

Nice to have:
  • Certification(s) in Azure Microsoft CompTIA IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or other technical certifications related to the position.
  • Three or more years of experience:
    • Providing endtoend customer support ranging from identifying problems troubleshooting debugging system integrations and/or application implementations/upgrades.
    • Working on projects that involve system integrations data migration and/or application implementation/upgrades.
  • Experience:
    • Monitoring complex IT systems and SAAS applications.
    • Installing configuring managing servers computers (desktop laptop printers scan devices) and vendor equipment.
    • Administering and maintaining Windows Security and Corrective Action Measures.
    • Operating Windows PowerShell Scripting.
    • Analyzing and implementing SQL queries and statements.
    • Defining standards and governance of processes and supporting technology.
    • Evaluating user needs defining technical problems and working with other IT technical teams to determine solutions.
  • Knowledge of IT Infrastructure i.e. servers network and security setup.
  • Ability to support critical systems research test implement onboard and support software and applications.

Resident Services IT (RSIT) manages the overall technology for the Assessors Office Elections Department Service Center Department Library and Examiner of Titles in addition to the Land Information and Tax Services Department which includes the Strategy and Support Division Recorder and Registrar of Titles Office Survey Division and Property Tax Division.
