Description
Resident Services IT (RSIT)is seekingan IT Technical Analyst III to join a team that delivers technical support to business partners and employees in the Resident Services line of business. This position will create and support Resident Services infrastructure hardware technical equipment systems and applications/solutions.

Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed both onsite at the Hennepin County Government Center 300 South 6th St Minneapolis MN 55487 at other Hennepin County buildings and remote as job duties require.Work hours are typically Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with some flexibility.While this position is designated as hybrid based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.New Employee Orientation (NEO) for all new benefitearning employees is inperson in downtown Minneapolis. At this time employees may be eligible to receive an additional cash merit of up to $2336.87 that can be earned annually based on performance.
In this position you will:- Serve as primary technical contact for business partner support issues.
- Ensure consistent performance of critical IT systems enforcing advising on development of policies guidelines processes and security roles.
- Provide insight expertise technical vision and leadership on maintenance troubleshooting and systems upgrades.
- Support timely development of tools reports functions and other features as requested by management that result in improved functionality and user experience.
- In collaboration with others troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems relating to system network database and other largescale systems and environments.
- Research new technologies and industry trends and provide direction and subject matter expertise to leadership on decision making for county owned and operated systems.
- Evaluate user needs define technical problems and work with other IT technical teams to determine solutions.
- Administer and support the Elections Library and Examiner of Titles departments and all Hennepin County Service Centers on desktops laptops and servers including hands on troubleshooting.
Need to have:- One of the following:
- Eight years or more of IT experience.
- Associates/vocational/technical degree in computer science management information systems (MIS) information technology or an approved information technology field related to the position andsix years or more of IT experience.
- Completion of five college/vocational/technical technology courses and six years or more of IT experience.
- Completion of an approved IT Hennepin County internship and six years or more of IT experience.
- Bachelors degree or higher in computer science management information systems (MIS) information technology or an approved information technology field related to the position and four years or more of IT experience.
Nice to have:- Certification(s) in Azure Microsoft CompTIA IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or other technical certifications related to the position.
- Three or more years of experience:
- Providing endtoend customer support ranging from identifying problems troubleshooting debugging system integrations and/or application implementations/upgrades.
- Working on projects that involve system integrations data migration and/or application implementation/upgrades.
- Experience:
- Monitoring complex IT systems and SAAS applications.
- Installing configuring managing servers computers (desktop laptop printers scan devices) and vendor equipment.
- Administering and maintaining Windows Security and Corrective Action Measures.
- Operating Windows PowerShell Scripting.
- Analyzing and implementing SQL queries and statements.
- Defining standards and governance of processes and supporting technology.
- Evaluating user needs defining technical problems and working with other IT technical teams to determine solutions.
- Knowledge of IT Infrastructure i.e. servers network and security setup.
- Ability to support critical systems research test implement onboard and support software and applications.

Resident Services IT (RSIT) manages the overall technology for the Assessors Office Elections Department Service Center Department Library and Examiner of Titles in addition to the Land Information and Tax Services Department which includes the Strategy and Support Division Recorder and Registrar of Titles Office Survey Division and Property Tax Division.
