Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies is looking for a Field Technician for the Companys Field Services organization supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role will be responsible for support in Washington Oregon and British Columbia Canada areas.
Essential Functions:
This is a support level position requiring a thorough knowledge of theinstallation maintenance and repair of telecommunications related systems and/or equipment gained through formal education or fromconsiderable and varied experience in working with the installationservice activation maintenance and repair of telecommunication systemsand devices.
Responsiblefor the installation repair configuration test and preventativemaintenance of network equipment telecommunications equipment and/or computers.
Proficientin Microsoft or UNIX operating systems and the components of the MSOffice Suite. Maintains records on repairs down time changes andupdates.
Network Knowledge / Skills:
Good working knowledge of cable connectors and replacement such as RJ11 RJ45 DB25 V.35 RS449
Havean excellent working knowledge of fiber working knowledge of MultiplexesNetwork topology Frame Relay Fractional T1 SONET Network TechnologyATM Private Line Voice and Data applications
Goodworking knowledge of power testing AD and DC including 3 Phase AC. Familiar with configuration and operation of the 24VDC & 48 VDC powersupplies.
Experience with network and circuit testing with T1 Testing Specifications DS3Testing Digital Testing (BERT) and Analog VG Testing within Bell CoreStandards.
Workingknowledge and usage of various network test equipment: JDSU HSTAmeritech AM5XT Sage 935 Digital Oscilloscope Halcyon 704A Parascopeor other T1/DS3 Test sets.
Computer Knowledge / Skills:
Performbasic software troubleshooting and diagnostics
Serveas the point of contact for unresolved problems from the Help Desk or NOC.
Installhardware and software including operating system and office applications
Responsiblefor providing computer hardware software and network technical support to endusers
Assists with setup and configuration of system hardware and software.
MicrosoftOffice suite.
Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of Telecommunications /Network Engineering or 2 years AA/AS degreewith 24years of Telecommunications Network Engineering experience
Possessand maintain a valid Drivers License and a satisfactory driving recordas conditions of initial (and continued) employment.
This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Secret security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance you need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.

Network CCNA CCNP CCNA Wireless A
Abilityto work from home in an oncall status.
Musthave the ability to obtain and maintain active DOD Secret Clearance
Capableof lifting 70 pounds
Must be willing to travel (up to 100 of the time) to remote sites within a 4hour drive circle of base location. Technicians may be asked to traveloutside of their assigned region as needed.
Posses and maintain a valid Drivers License and satisfactory driving record as conditions of initial (and continued0 employment
Capable of utilizing ladders and stepstools to reach heights of approx. 10 feet
Willingnessand/or ability to work outside regularly scheduled hours to meetoperational needs and to respond to afterhours emergency calls as required.
Excellentcustomer service skills.
Ability to work in high stress and visibility environment.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in Colorado State Hawaii Illinois Maryland Minnesota Vermont and New York State is $53000$98000. For California Seattle Washington D.C. Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area the city of Denver Washington State and New York City the salary range for this role is $58500$108500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
