Job Description
A reputable client in the engineering and construction sector is seeking to appoint an experienced Resident Engineer (Structures) to be based fulltime in Cape Town for the duration of a twoyear contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the structural aspects of the construction of a large building complex ensuring compliance with design drawings specifications safety standards and project timelines.
Requirements:
- Minimum academic qualification: B Tech in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr Tech Eng is mandatory.
- A minimum of 8 years postregistration experience is required.
- At least 8 years of fulltime site experience on commercial building projects involving reinforced concrete and structural steel is essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and collaboration tools (e.g. Teams SharePoint).
- Experience with AutoCAD Revit and MS Project would be advantageous.
