DaytoDay Responsibilities
Are you a recent graduate eager to kickstart your career in quality assurance Join our dynamic team as a Junior Test Engineer! In this role you will play a vital part in ensuring the quality of new application features by executing thorough tests based on our established test strategy and utilizing custom testing tools. Additionally youll be responsible for maintaining the quality of existing functionalities through regression testing.
Main activities:
- Read analyze and review all the project documents
- design and write testscripts based on received documents
- Automate and execute the testscripts
- Create and document the issues (defects)
- undertake the close followup of the correction of the defects
- closely collaborate with development (SCRUM) teams
- Support external customers/schemes during their acceptance test phases
- be involved in maintenance phase for bugs discovered in production systems (reproduce test corrections)
- Support the implementation of test automation where possible
Work environment:
- In the Testing Team were responsible for supporting Test activities for our internal and external customers worldwide.
- The team is mainly located in Belgium and Italy.
- We strive to help to analyze issues support certifications and End2End Tests for our customers in the international cashless payment business.
- Our services are not tolerant of downtime high availability is in our DNA.
Who Are We Looking For
- Bachelor or master degree in computer science or a similar education with focus on IT
- Basic UNIX and SQLDatabase knowledge
- Good oral and written skills in English
- The relentless will to learn new things and continuously improve
- The natural will to take ownership
- Good communicator
- Capable of working under time pressure
- Well skilled and highly motivated people
- Experience with defect management tools like JIRA XRAY or HP ALM is an advantage
- Knowhow of Cashless payment methods is an advantage
