This is a temporary position with a duration of 1 year based in Warsaw or working remotely from Poland.

The position

As a Senior/Midlevel Payroll & Benefits Operations Specialist you will provide professional payroll and benefits services to Line of Business (LoB) in EMEA region. Additionally as a part of your role will be to participate in the implementation and integration of Time and Attendance systems including shift planning. You will ensure that these integrations are seamless and support our operational goals while also serving as a backup process owner to guarantee the accurate and timely payment of salaries to Novo Nordisk employees.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Implement and integrate Time and Attendance systems

  • Coordinate the endtoend payroll processes for assigned countries.

  • Cooperate closely with internal and external stakeholders (including payroll provider).

  • Respond to payroll queries escalated from HR and/or employees.

  • Provide administration of local benefits if applicable and optimise payroll operational processes in accordance with the PBO Team goals.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you need to have knowledge and savviness regarding cultural differences. Strong communication and change management capabilities as well as excellent stakeholder management skills in an international environment are also crucial in this role. Customercentred mindset and solid business understanding as well as focus on operational excellence and delivering on KPIs are also necessary. You must be dependable precise and conscious of the sensitive nature of the data you handle daily which directly affects the lives of our employees.

We expect you to have:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in payroll processing in one or more large scale organisation

  • Proven track record in coordinating and implementing Time and Attendance systems and Shift Planning modules.

  • Experience working in a shared service centre is preferred.

  • Experience with Irish Payroll but we also value familiarity with payroll practices regulations from other EMEA countries

  • A robust understanding of timekeeping systems and payroll processes.

  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms such as SAP Employee Central and a strong command of MS Office tools especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Proficiency with Time and Attendance systems including but not limited to Kronos SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking Workforce Software and other relevant platforms.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately and to deadlines

  • Proficiency in English both written and verbal along with proficiency in an additional language

  • A high degree of integrity a collaborative team mindset a willingness to travel and the ability to effectively plan and prioritize tasks.

On a personal level you should possess strong analytical abilities to drive process standardization optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

EMEA Regional Service Centre (RSC EMEA) is colocated with the Business Area office for Europe East the Polish affiliate DD&IT department and Clinical Development Centre (CDC). With annual budgeted sales level of over 700 million DKK the company ambition is to continuously improve quality of patients life and bring innovation into the markets.

The RSC EMEA is formed by two departments AskHR (HR administration and employee support) and Payroll Development & Operations (PBO project and systems management). The payroll department (PBO) delivers payroll and benefits support to countries like France Germany Italy Ireland Sweden and UK.
