Responsibilities include providing direct supervision to case management staff and ensuring clients receive appropriate services based on assessed need. Supports the overall treatment component of the program ensures the provision of treatment program in both the treatment and work release phase of the program. Provide specific training for the corrections division sanction treatment and training modalities for the agency through a lead role with Treatment Coordinators. Develop and implement inservice training component and staff development program for all correctional staff.
Scope of Duties:
- Ensure the provision of direct services to all clients entering the program including Quality assurance of initial assessments and its relationship to the development of service plans for all residents.
- Ensure clients are referred to appropriate services.
- Provide group programs and model appropriate group delivery to new coaches. Mentor new coaches in their delivery of group programs.
- Conduct team and individual meetings with core curriculum coaches to provide training.
- Provide clinical supervision of program delivery. Ensure progress notes related to the program delivery are completed timely and accurately. Ensure that pre and post assessments and client satisfaction surveys are completed.
- Develop a schedule for coaches to facilitate groups in a timely fashion.
- Conduct clinical reviews as needed with all case managers operable or special needs residents.
- Develop and implement inservice training component and staff development program for all correctional staff.
- Meet monthly with Director to review service delivery components and to provide feedback and input into staff development plans.
- Provide ongoing feedback to the Director with regard to program initiatives program philosophy models and approaches.
- Provide assistance with quality assurance to Treatment Coordinators to ensure program integrity.
- Network with other community agencies to develop alternate resources for treatment support and aftercare.
- Carry a smallspecialized caseload if necessary.
- Conduct weekly treatment team meetings.
- Lead the Core Treatment Team in implementing core programs quality assurance and staff certifications.
- Collect data to support research initiatives and treatment coordination schedule.
- Lead the agency Core Treatment Team to provide input on program development (treatment and assessment) assist in the approval of program initiatives and generate certification requirements for coaches.
- Assist with other quality assurance functions.
- Assist in the development of an annual training schedule. Conduct agencywide training.
- Present schedule of group program activities progress notes and outcome reports.
- Access or provide certified/accredited training for staff in the areas of alcohol and drug counseling.
- Participate as a member of the agency Research Outcome Committee.
- Interact (verbally and nonverbally) with clients staff and community members professionally with respect and courtesy.
- Maintain client and staff confidentiality in compliance with administrative policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings supervisory conferences and training sessions.
- Must obtain LSIR Training and Certification within 90 days of hire.
- Must obtain training in at least one core curriculum with 189 days of hire and certification in that core curriculum with 12 months of training.
