Job Description
As a Principal Data Scientist youll be passionate about research design development and deployment of cuttingedge AI solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in machine learning data analytics and statistical modeling with a strong ability to drive innovation through datadriven insights. They will be able to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams contribute to opensource projects and mentor junior team members. A deep understanding of cloud platforms AI/ML frameworks and largescale data systems is essential as well as a passion for pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the AI space to create scalable impactful solutions for the federal government.

What youll do:
- You will work with a collaborative team working closely with business partners and cloud infrastructure/technology teams to meet customer requirements.
- You will deliver of automation AI use cases from pilot design to release.
- You will implement various AI/ML solutions and map success to delivering tangible value.
- You engage in both experimentation and integration.
- You will apply tools and techniques that enable scalability and reliability of model deployments.
- You will utilize NLP and LLMs for custom use cases.
- You will scope architect and evaluate models for use in production.
What youll need to succeed:
- 12 years of experience within technical domain
- Bachelors Degree plus 4 of experience in data analytics or masters degree plus 2 years of experience in data analytics or PhD
- 4 years of experience in opensource libraries for large scale data analysis such as Dask Spark or Ray
- 4 years of experience with ETL relational databases and data services
- Experience with cloudbased machine learning services
- Proficiency in Python or C
- Experience in building and deploying ML models using libraries such as TensorFlow PyTorch HuggingFace or TensorRT

If a projected salary range is posted for this position it represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MetroStars total compensation.
Additional Compensation: This role may also be eligible for bonuses and/or additional incentives based on individual and company performance.
