Speech Language Pathologist (Therapist)
Division Services Centre
Temporary Full Time 35 hours per week

Position: A speech language pathologist is required to work with children/students with diverse learning needs in PreK to Grade 12. The successful candidate(s) will work as a member of the Student Learning Services team to support and provide services to children/students with delays in speech language and communication.
Duties Commence: As soon as possible until June 27 2025
Qualifications & Duties:
- Committed to being a model and witness to Christcentered education values and beliefs.
- Apply foundational knowledge about First Nations Mtis and Inuit for the benefit of all students and support the Divisions goals towards advancing Truth and Reconciliation.
- Masters degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology.
- Registered or eligible to be registered with the Alberta College of SpeechLanguage Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).
- Excellent interpersonal/organizational skills.
- Experience working with young children and schoolaged students with diverse needs and collaborating with team members.
- Assessment and program development including goal development.
- Experience with administering standardized and observational speech and language assessments.
- High energy level and ability to physically support children in play.
- Experience with coaching classroom staff and families in implementing language and communication strategies in meaningful and engaging ways within everyday routines in an inclusive setting.
- Facilitate prelanguage and alternative communication skills including low to high tech alternatives.
- Supervision of and planning for Speech Language Pathology Assistants.
- Facilitate Professional Development sessions for classroom and District staff.
- Experience with creating visuals including the use of Boardmaker software.
- Experience with SocialEmotional Strategies is an asset.
