The Washington State Ferry (WSF) system is a crucial part of Washingtons transportation network connecting communities across Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands. With over 400 daily sailing on 10 routes it serves nearly 17 million passengers annually. WSF employs more than 1800 people who work on vessels at terminals in maintenance and at its Seattle headquarters.
The Opportunity
WSDOT is currently seeking Transportation Engineer 4 to perform final review and analysis of project documentation required to authorize funding for capital projects funded in WSDOTs Ferries Division.
This position is responsible for evaluating processing and approving Work Order Authorizations (WOA/spend authorizations) for WSFs Capital Program that allows the divisionwide expenditure of $540 million per biennium in state and federal funds. This includes monitoring project information in the Capital Connect relating to project scope schedule cost estimates and expenditure data is accurate and reasonable based on information from various sources. Independently analyzes data submitted for project scope schedule and budget change of prioritized projects.
