Job Summary
This is a seasonal COUNSELOR role for Club Us 1214 year old Varsity day camps. Counselors are responsible for planning teaching coordinating and carrying out activities and guiding campers in their personal growth and daily living skills. Join us in furthering the mission of Club U Summer Day Camp through the delivery of summer program activities that are safe fun and appropriate to the campers age and abilities under the supervision of the Club U leadership team.
Responsibilities
1. Supervise direct and manage behavior of groups of campers ages 1214. 2. Lead and participate in activities such as field trips swimming sports arts & crafts and more. 3. Communicate with camper guardians guests and camp leadership staff on a daily basis. 4. Ability to obtain CPR & First Aid certification provided during training (if not already obtained).
Minimum Qualifications
Three years experience as a classroom assistant in a related academic area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); knowledge and understanding of a variety of teaching methods in order to adjust activities/training session to include participants of different ages; a thorough knowledge of related academic subjects in order to participate in developing classroom activities/programs; and demonstrated knowledge of teaching methods and communication skills to conduct educational activities and/or training sessions in a clear and concise manner required. Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills are also required.
