Job Description

Job Title: Remote Paralegal Provider Contracts

Company: Managed care Organization

Position Type: FullTime Remote
While this position is remote candidates must live within 25 miles of W 119th Street Overland Park KS 66213 for occasional onsite meetings

Salary: $65000 range

Job Description

A Managed Care Organization is seeking a detailoriented and experienced Paralegal to support the Provider Contracts group. This role involves assisting with the preparation review and management of provider contracts ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal and healthcare terminology excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a fastpaced remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft review and edit provider contracts amendments and other legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the management and organization of contract databases ensuring all documents are accurately maintained and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including legal compliance and provider relations teams to facilitate the and implementation of provider agreements.
  • Research and analyze state and federal regulations impacting provider contracts and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Support contract negotiations by preparing summaries redlining agreements and tracking changes.
  • Monitor contract expiration dates and assist with renewals and amendments in a timely manner.
  • Maintain detailed records of correspondence approvals and modifications related to provider contracts.
  • Assist with responding to internal and external audits providing necessary documentation as requested.
  • Develop and maintain standardized templates and processes to streamline contract preparation and review.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Provider Contracts group and the Legal Department.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field (Bachelors degree preferred).
  • Paralegal certification from an ABAaccredited program is preferred.
