NXTGEN is thrilled to be partnering with a highly regarded Chartered Accountants in Bury St Edmunds during an exciting period of growth to recruit a Senior Accountant for their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join a successful team working closely with the lead Partner to deliver exceptional services to a broad and diverse client portfolio.

As a Senior Accountant youll take on a pivotal role in building and maintaining key client relationships preparing accounts for a wideranging client base and mentoring junior team members. Youll also have the chance to drive your own career progression at a pace that works for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Support on a diverse client portfolio managing key relationships.
- Prepare financial statements for sole traders partnerships and limited companies.
- Deliver monthly and quarterly management accounts.
- Prepare and review VAT returns ensuring compliance with current legislation.
- Mentor junior staff and supporting with their career growth.
What the client is looking for:
- Recently ACA or ACCA qualified or near to finishing.
- Prior experience working within an accountancy practice.
- Confident using accounting software such as Xero QuickBooks Sage and Excel.
- Strong communication skills
