About the Division
The Information Systems Division (ISD) provides for the diverse technology needs of the department and Ohios aging network supporting 25000 system users. Todays approach to healthy aging is more holistic and connected than ever before. This means that our aging services platforms need to support a greater connected ecosystem where information and interoperability are essential for longterm success personcentered care and quality outcomes. Comprehensive platforms must connect the ecosystem to ensure that every part of the solution works together to create a positive seamless experience reducing manual work and advancing data analytics.

About the Role

The Senior Security Analyst role will work collaboratively with ITs leadership team and key stakeholders to advance ODAs capabilities with respect to security compliance data governance and information technologyrelated processes.

This role will:

  • Ensure IT systems comply with cybersecurity data privacy and regulatory standards (e.g. NIST HIPAA ISO 27001.
  • Assess security risks system dependencies and privacy concerns contributing to security design reviews and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support incident response coordination assisting in security investigations documentation and remediation efforts.
  • Conduct security assessments support compliance audits and maintain security protocol documentation.
  • Assist in vendor security evaluations facilitate security awareness training and enhance organizational cybersecurity resilience.

To be successful the ideal candidate will have:

  • Solid knowledge of security and data privacy compliance processes
  • Solid knowledge of data governance practices
  • Extensive experience working within projects making recommendations through defined tasks leading meetings and other tasks
  • Extensive experience with information system process analysis and documentation
  • Excellent communication skills both with technical and nontechnical stakeholders

About Us
The Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) is a cabinetlevel agency within the executive branch of the Ohio state government. The director of ODA is a member of the Governors cabinet serving as principal advisor and advocate for 2.8 million older adults and their families. Through services supports and activities that cover a wide spectrum of issues ODA strives to achieve its mission to foster sound public policy research and initiatives that benefit older Ohioans.

Salary Information
Unless required by legislation or union contract starting salary will be set at the lowest rate of the salary range. In most cases successful employees will move up a step in the salary range within six months with subsequent step increases occurring every year as supported by successful performance evaluation results. We also offer cost of living adjustments longevity supplements after five years of eligible public service and wellness incentives.

The final candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Classification: Business Process Analyst 3

60 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: leading analysts and analyzing business operations to determine areas to implement solutions through the use of information technology and reducing overall costs and/or providing efficiencies.

Or completion of associate core program in computer science information systems or business administration; 42 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: leading analysts and analyzing business operations to determine areas to implement solutions through the use of information technology and reducing overall costs and/or providing efficiencies.

Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science information systems or business administration; 36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: leading analysts and analyzing business operations to determine areas to implement solutions through the use of information technology and reducing overall costs and/or providing efficiencies.

Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
