Become a part of the leading GenerationIV nuclear plant development team.
Terrestrial Energy is developing for nearterm commercial operation a zeroemissions cogeneration plant for global industry using its proprietary Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR) fission technology in an innovative small and modular plant design. The IMSR is a nonLight Water Reactor of the Generation IV class that operates at the high temperature required for broad industrial relevance with transformative economic potential. The IMSR plant is capable of gridbased electric power generation and industrial cogeneration in many energyintensive industries including petrochemical and chemical synthesis for hydrogen and ammonia production. The IMSR plant offers a near 50 percent improvement in efficiency of electric power generation compared to Light Water Reactor nuclear plants. Its industrial cogeneration capability delivers to todays markets industrial competitiveness security of energy and zeroemissions industrial production. The IMSR plants use of existing industrial materials components and fuels supports its nearterm deployment setting the stage for a rapid global decarbonization of the primary energy system. The Senior Accountant reporting to the Vice President of Finance oversee complex financial reporting and technical accounting operations leads monthend and yearend closures manages account reconciliations and supports audit processes while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. Other responsibilities include:
- Execute monthly and annual financial close processes including preparation of journal entries account reconciliations and comprehensive financial reports that meet both statutory and business requirements.
- Develop and analyze financial statements including income statement balance sheet cash flow statement and statement of equity in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Present financial analyses and insights to management and department heads providing clear explanations of accounting methodologies and their business implications.
- Liaise with external auditors to maintain compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Canadian GAAP Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and external financial policies while maintaining highest professional standards.
- Manage tax compliance and filing requirements across federal provincial and other applicable jurisdictions.

Requirements
- University undergraduate degree preferably in Business Finance Accounting or similar.
- Professional accounting designation (CA CMA CGA CPA).
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible financial roles gained within an industrial setting.
- Excellent knowledge of US GAAP Canadian GAAP PCAOB standards and IFRS.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate financial data effectively.
Assets
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems particularly Microsoft Dynamics.
- External auditor relationship experience.
