Responsibilities and Duties Include:
Provides leadership in identifying opportunities and strategies to procure external grants funding congruent with collegewide priorities and strategic initiatives.
Recommends prepares and implements appropriate course of action regarding grant submissions to college leadership.
Hires supervises and evaluates personnel to ensure optimum grants procurement productivity efficient operation and compliance with internal and external grant seeking and postaward management policies.
Writes and submits grant proposals to federal state local and nonprofit organizations and assures high quality submissions by overseeing final editing and production processes for submitted grants.
Ensures grant funding is compliant with the Colleges policies mission goals and priorities.
Develops appropriate strategies to enhance proposals competitive position and secures approval of pursue external grants funding and directs the .
Identifies and maintains strategic partnerships and strong relations with program officers funding prospects and agencies community partners businesses and other Colleges to leverage grant funding.
Develops an annual budget and manages assigned budgets and resources as assigned and required.
Collaborates with faculty staff and administrators to identify plan and develop grant funding strategies and requests.
Monitors the tracking of grants effectiveness measures with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning and the Office of Administrative Affairs.
Develops reports outlining measurable outcomes of grantfunded initiatives to ensure effective performance and fiscal accountability.
Participates in local state regional and national professional organizations and professional committees when needed and attends technical assistance workshops to remain current on grant funding opportunities regulations requirements and procedures.
Complies with all published College Rules procedures guidelines and laws/regulations governing public employees including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction FERPA and confidentiality.
Strictly honors the privacy security and confidentiality of student records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state federal and college regulations policies and procedures.
Provides service excellence through courteous informed accessible and professional engagement.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Reports to: Associate Vice President Governmental and Community Relations
QUALIFICATIONS
Required: A bachelors degree and four 4 years of experience in proposal writing grants management grants development and/or in writing federal state or private grants for higher education or a combination of completed education and/or experience equal to eight 8 years. Prior supervisory experience is required.
Additional Requirement: A criminal background check will be conducted.
Preferred: A masters degree in related field and prior experience with strategic planning in higher education.
