Job Description
JOB FUNCTION: The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daytoday warehouse and distribution activities ensuring efficient operations inventory accuracy and timely order fulfillment. This role focuses on optimizing processes maintaining workplace safety and leading a team to meet operational goals.
JOB DUTIES
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving storage order picking packing and shipping.
- Manage the customer service and billing department to enhance order processing invoicing accuracy and client satisfaction.
- Implement best practices to improve efficiency accuracy and productivity within the distribution center.
- Monitor inventory levels ensure proper stock rotation and maintain accuracy through cycle counts and audits.
- Oversee and manage an additional location in Quebec.
- Ensure compliance with company policies workplace health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Lead train and develop warehouse staff fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Work closely with supply chain and sales to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Oversee facility maintenance security and warehouse equipment to ensure a safe and functional workplace.
- Promote a safetyfirst culture by ensuring adherence to all workplace safety procedures and regulations.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to coach and develop staff.
- Proficiency in ERP Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent problemsolving organizational and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of Canadian workplace safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Being bilingual would be a plus.
- Willingness to travel 30 of the time.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Postsecondary education in supply chain management logistics business administration or a related field (preferred).
- 5 years of experience in distribution logistics or warehouse management
