Job Description
AnthroTech is seeking a skilled UX Designer to join our smart and inspired team. This is a temporary remote W2 position offering parttime to fulltime support on an asneeded basis with the potential to transition to a longterm role at the end of that period.
We are looking for someone passionate about delivering thoughtful design solutions informed by user research. Youll be consulting with business communications development and design teams to create highly useful and usable websites web & mobile applications kiosks and other products and services.
Some things you wouldve done last week if you were working with us:
- Worked collaboratively with a client team and other AnthroTech consultants to create a customer journey map
- Sketched a variety of design concepts to share and iterate with other team members
- Developed an interactive wireframe prototype for usability testing
- Led a collaborative design session to work out a complex interaction flow
- Provided feedback to a colleague on how to improve the aesthetics of their presentation for another client
- Facilitated a design thinking workshop to identify innovative solutions
Other things you might do:
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including UX researchers developers visual designers content strategists and project managers
- Design infographics personas user task flows presentations and design concepts
- Collect and address feedback on a design from both stakeholders and users
- Iterate designs based on feedback from users clients or project team
- Lead sketching and brainstorming sessions
- Present concepts to clients walking them through the rationale of design decisions
What you bring to the position
- A proven track record of 5 years of professional experience as a design practitioner
- A Bachelors degree in humancentered design interaction design a related field OR compelling related work experience
- A strong portfolio of your design work including sketching wireframes prototypes and work across multiple domains platforms/devices
- Strong visual and graphic design skills with experience designing within existing branding guidelines and expanding them for attractive cohesive graphics
- Excellent communication and listening skills write speak and present information effectively persuasively and confidently in a variety of communication settings
- Possess a strong understanding of humancentered design principles and the design thinking process
- Experience with software tools such as: Adobe Creative Suite Figma (or similar) Sketch Miro/Mural Axure and MS Office products
- Basic knowledge of technology capabilities/constraints. HTML and CSS (desired)
- Strong attention to detail
- A passion for making an impact by working with our clients and continually learning and growing your expertise
Scheduling
This is a temporary remote W2 position offering parttime to fulltime support on an asneeded basis starting as soon as possible through June 2025 with the potential for extension.
Youll be assigned to specific projects with estimated weekly hours 040 provided in advance to support planning. We aim to confirm your schedule at least one week ahead.
Team collaboration typically occurs between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM Pacific Time. Outside those hours your schedule is flexible and can be arranged with your manager.
Compensation and Benefits
AnthroTech offers competitive compensation and limited benefits for this role including:
Paid Time Off (PTO) youll accrue PTO for each hour you work. Fulltime team members accrue approximately 15 PTO days per year
Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set level of experience and responsibility. The range of starting pay for this role of UX Designer (Temporary W2 is $45.00 $54.00 per hour limited benefits.
