Job Description

The name of our new agency Declaration Wine & Spirits Inc. was chosen for its powerful connotation of starting a new path forward. The Declaration Wine & Spirits Inc. portfolio includes global leading wine spirits and RTD (Ready to Drink) brands such as: La Marca High Noon Barefoot Apothic White Haven Carnivor New Amsterdam Pink Whitney Rum Chata Louis Martini Orin Swift and Rombauer just to name a few.

The Role

Based out of our Toronto office the Associate Portfolio Manager will own and manage the relationship between Declaration Wine & Spirits Inc. and key international suppliers. This role is pivotal in growing the suppliers portfolios across Canada by developing and executing strategic brand plans managing innovation listings and leading pricing and promotional strategies. The Associate Portfolio Manager will also oversee national and regional A&P strategies manage creative assets and POS and identify opportunities for brand sponsorships and events. Additionally this role involves supporting the supply chain through the S&OP process conducting business reviews and acting as a brand ambassador at internal meetings and Canadian events.

What youll do:

  • Manage ongoing communication with suppliers regarding business in Canada
  • Develop & execute annual brand plans for each supplier:
  • Identify longterm growth opportunities & develop 5YR strategic plans
  • Manage all innovation listings & National tenders
  • Lead on all National and regional pricing & promo strategies (support from Pricing Team)
  • Develop a National and regional A&P strategy & manage National budgets
  • Manage all creative assets tools and POS
  • Identify & lead on all brand sponsorship/events/activations including agency briefs
  • Schedule and execute monthly and quarterly business reviews
  • Manage supplier visits
  • Support supply chain through monthly S&OP process
  • Cascade National Brand plans through sales organization & collaborate (ongoing) with all regional sales & trade marketing teams
  • Ownership of supplier A&P budgets & MAWS P&L
  • Act as brand ambassador at internal meetings or at Canadian events with ability to provide brand training

What youll bring:

  • Minimum 2 years of progressive Sales or Trade Marketing experience preferably in beer/wine/spirits industry or CPG industry
  • WSET Level II & III is an asset
  • Completed Bachelors Degree in Marketing Business Commerce or related from a recognized institution
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Passionate enthusiastic hardworking and agile
