Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Primarily responsible for grants management budget preparation and accounting services. Oversees analysis and policy development for funding issues resource allocation and funding proposals. Manages staff in preand postaward funding. Works with project directors to comply with funders terms and conditions manage deliverables monitors spending salary allocation request amendments and rant reconciliation. Provides guidance advice and training to administrative managers in the Division regarding financial and budgetary activities Ensures timely and accurate processing of payables deposits and billings. The position also serves as the primary administrative contact on assigned grants for principal investigators research & grant administration (BU&BMC) and acts as the liaison between thedepartment and B.U. for shared services of human resources purchasing and financial activities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors degreein Accounting Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum five years experience in financial management and preand postaward grant administration.

  • Accounting management experience.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Culturally sensitive to international collaborators and trainees.

  • The ability to provide leadership and work effectively as a team member.

  • The ability to work independently take initiative and handle multiple priorities.

  • Knowledge of federal and nonfederal regulations and operational policies of sponsored research.

  • Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment with strict deadlines. Must be well organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
