Job Description
Job Title: Inventory Control Operator
Location: Irving TX
Position Type: Temp to Hire
Pay: $22.96/hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Job Description: Preferred Personnel Solutions is seeking to hire an Inventory Control Operator for a food distribution warehouse located in Irving! The facility is temperature controlled due to the product in warehouse.
Qualifications for Inventory Control Operator:
After meeting all of PPS standard qualifications Candidate must meet below qualifications:
Must have experience operating a Cherry Picker Reach Truck and pallet jack.
Must have previous inventory experience.
Ability to multitask and follow instructions as assigned by supervisor.
Attention to detail and accuracy of documentation.
Able to understand both written and oral instructions.
Use of WMS (Warehouse Management System computer software and the RF Interface).
Excellent vision depth perception and motor skills required.
Physical able to stand for long periods of time and to bend reach and lift for long periods of time up to 12 hours.
Ability to operate the designated material handling equipment safely and effectively.
Computer skills in email spread sheet and word processing software.
Willing to submit to a drug screening and background check.
Assignment Duties for Inventory Control Operator:
Accuracy of all outbound shipments including: item/quantity/code date accuracy special instructions labeling (ASN/stop stickers/placards) and replacement of damage cases.
Reviews shorts to avoid cuts and communicates high cut risks for cut approval.
Communicates inbounds needed to clear shorts.
Completes cut sheet form and ensures all cuts are submitted.
Adjusting freight line/warehouse and outbound damage/short replacements.
Auditing/reporting which includes cycle counting collecting data and reporting warehouse issues/errors.
Responsible for assisting with return and RTS orders.
Responsible for identifying UID pallets.
Responsible for keeping outbound shipment area clean (ex. label trash).
Maintains active review of emails to address any urgent need or emergency orders to meet customer requirements.
Shift Details: SundayWednesday 6:00AM4:00PM
Pay Rate: $22.96/hour
