WorWic Community College continuously accepts applications for parttime credit faculty to teach courses in our General Education division which includes Arts and Humanities Human ServicesMathematics and Science departments.

Parttime instructors in this category teach courses that support many general education and transfer degree options for our students.

• Creates and manages an environment conducive to the students learning of credit course material;
• Prepares and usescourse syllabi andrecommends appropriate textbooks;
• Meets all scheduled learning experiences including the final examination;
• Maintains student records;
• Submits copies of course syllabi copies of tests and the telephone number and hours he or she may be contacted;
• Submits attendance rosters midterm grades final grades and other informationto the vice president for enrollment management and student services within the established time frame each semester;
• Conducts assigned classes in accordance with the catalog descriptions and the stipulations of the department and the college; and
• Performs other duties as assigned by the department head.

To qualify for a parttime facultyposition at WorWic Community College applicants must have a masters degree and12 graduate credits in their area of expertise or related graduate coursework. For example to qualify as a parttime mathematics instructor applicants must have a masters degree and12 graduate credits in mathematics or related graduate coursework.

Preference will be given to applicants whodemonstrate prior teaching experience.

This is an applicant POOL. Applications will be reviewed and positions will be filled based on department needs. This is not necessarily a job posting for a currently vacant position. Parttime credit faculty positions are not eligible for a benefits package. Faculty rank is assigned by the vice president for academic affairs and pay is dependent on the faculty rank and course(s) assigned. The pay scale for fiscal year 2025 is shown below:
