Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant IB Mechanical Design Engineer
In this role The team developing industry leading CT scanners is looking for skilled mechanical engineers to support and maintain multi generation of CT products. Mechanical Engineer will be working on CT components and ensure sustenance in the field and factory.
Responsibilities
Skills/Tasks requirements
Experience in Medical systems particularly in CT (Computed Tomography) preferred
Perform failure analysis of issues reported from field NonConfirmation (NCs) trending etc. including autopsies of failed units whenever available.
Experience with analysis tools like Fish bone 5 WHYs Reliability etc. and identify the rootcause of failures and propose solutions
Identify solution for obsolescence issues and propose solutions. Introduce the alternate solution by completing technical analysis verification & validation documentation and completing the ECR/ECO process.
Experience supporting transfer projects across suppliers poles including creating alternate parts BOM structures etc. as may be needed.
Experience to work with domestic and international suppliers supplier quality and manufacturing to deliver units in time resolve issues in the manufacturing line process improvements etc. to avoid any production impact.
Analyzing and validating material/component selection tolerances performance cost manufacturability whenever required.
Work with suppliers and ensure ROHS and REACH compliance for every component in the CT. Publish regular reports on these compliances.
Actively support the design owners with all documentations and details during any internal or external audits.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
Masters/Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Good years of industry specific experience in designing and development of mechanical components and products
Ability to concurrently manage multiple assignments and meet the schedules.
Tools/Technologies
Experience with MCAD tools (preferably CREO) to create drawings and models
Experience with PLM tools creating bills of materials
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
