Job Description
We are seeking an individual who is alignedwith our core values and reflects our core competencies to join our Faculty& Staff as a Debating Coach. This is a 10 month parttime contractposition starting in September 2025.

The Position:
Specific Accountabilities:
This position will require afterschool and weekend availability responsibilities and duties of the Debate Coach include but are not limitedto:
- Workwith student club heads the Debate Faculty Supervisors and other coach to grow and implement the Debate program for HavergalCollege.
- Assistin the selection of students for the Havergal Debate Team when attendingtournaments.
- Throughconsultation with the Debate Faculty Supervisor execute a training program to prepare youngwomen for competitive and recreational debate meetings or tournaments.
- Attendtournaments on weekends with students to coach observe their skillacquisition and provide support.
- Responsiblefor student supervision while attending local competitions and overnighttournaments.
- Monitorstudent safety conduct and attendance throughout the program.
Qualifications Knowledge and Experience
- Acquisitionof or progress toward a University degree/college diploma in an appropriatefield.
- Aminimum of one to five years experience as a Debate Coach.
- Demonstratedsuccess in coaching and effectiveness as a leader
- Experienceworking with high school students.
- Goodorganizational and time management skills.
- Motivatedand motivational independent resourceful.
- Tactfuluse of diplomacy in communicating with students and parents.
- Discretionand confidentiality.
- Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
