Microns Global Procurement team is seeking a Junior Category Sourcing Manager EDA and IP to join our San Jose CA USA team. In this role you will influence our product design flow and business success by working on our procurement strategy for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and semiconductor Intellectual Property (IP). EDA and IP play a crucial role at Micron. The company utilizes EDA software tools and semiconductor IP from a variety of suppliers including key strategic suppliers and niche suppliers at every stage of the product design and manufacturing flow. In this role you will support EDA and IP sourcing managers on developing the procurement strategy for their respective suppliers. This will involve validating strategies with Global and Regional Category Managers as well as collaborating with internal partners and customers. You will assist with strategic sourcing initiatives plan and implement negotiations using supplier and industry analysis benchmarking and cost management. You will also establish positive relationships with internal partners striving for outstanding performance in terms of cost supply and resilience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop deep knowledge of the EDA and IP ecosystem relevant to Microns design and manufacturing flow and understand the strengths and weaknesses of suppliers products and services.
- Assist in analyzing sourcing trends and make informed recommendations for assigned categories.
- Support in driving category savings and spend targets and develop scorecard metrics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver strategic solutions.
- Support a customercentric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelors degree in engineering with 02 years of experience. A masters degree is a plus.
- Possesses strong analytical skills and a keen interest in mastering the sourcing process to build a dynamic career in global procurement.
- Good communication skills and the ability to effectively manage relationships with various individuals involved.
- Experience in roles such as Electronic Design Automation Wafer Fab Manufacturing or Category Supplier/Sourcing Management in IP/EDA category is a plus.
